We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Fermented Beans Product Specialist to join our product development or production team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, optimization, and quality control of traditional and modern fermented beans products such as tempe, tofu and sauce. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science, microbiology, or fermentation technology, and experience working with microbial cultures and fermentation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, improve, and scale up production processes for fermented beans-based products.
  • Select, manage, and optimize microbial strains used in fermentation (e.g., Rhizopus, Aspergillus, Bacillus).
  • Monitor and control fermentation parameters to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Conduct shelf-life studies and sensory evaluations of fermented products.
  • Ensure all processes comply with food safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot production issues related to fermentation performance.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, traditional methods, and technological advancements in beans fermentation.
  • Help to do cost analysis for mass production
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Fermentation Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of hands-on experience in fermentation, especially with beans-based products.
  • Strong understanding of microbial fermentation processes and quality control techniques.
  • Familiarity with traditional fermented beans products (e.g., tempeh, miso, natto, sauce, tofu).
  • Ability to analyze data and optimize production parameters based on results.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Passionate about traditional food cultures and innovation in plant-based foods.
  • Willing to travel and onsite for weeks if needed
