This function brings together distinct specialisms to drive greater connectivity in how we manage engagement with key stakeholders for HSBC.


• Finance teams provide the bank with internal and external financial reporting, forecasting, controls oversight, and stress testing expertise. Specialist areas also manage HSBC's worldwide tax affairs, group treasury needs, and events for investors and analysts.


• Sustainability teams lead the bank's work to support sustainable growth in a global economy, including an ambitious plan to prioritise financing that supports the transition to net zero.


• Group External Communications teams – including colleagues from Media Relations, ESG Communications and Group Reputation – deliver communication strategies that support HSBC's strategic objectives, protect our reputation and build trust among our stakeholders.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Officer Regulatory Reporting

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and ensure the complete and accurate regulatory report on a timely manner
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure timely audit progress
  • Liaise with other teams within Finance and outside Finance, especially for external audit and regulatory audit
  • Support line manager to deliver ad-hoc project/requirements
  • Coach and support other team member within local reporting team
  • Continuously strive to streamline financial reporting process

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a minimum bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance/Computer science from reputable University
  • Understand local regulatory requirements
  • Independent and able to work under pressure to meet deadline 
  • Experience programing language SQL Query and python is preferable.
  • Familiar with ESG development would be advantage.
  • Good understanding in managing the project
  • Good writing and communication skills in English
  • Proactive, shows initiatives in understanding issues and looking for solutions.
  • Good analytical and logical thinking
