About the role

As a full-time Port Captain for the Barokah Perkasa Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and management of the company's port facilities. This critical leadership role will involve ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the port, with a focus on maintaining high safety and compliance standards. The role is based in Jakarta Utara, Jakarta Raya.

What you'll be doing

  1. Responsible for Monitoring Vessels and the Performance of the Vessel Crew
  2. Provide familiarization to the vessel crew regarding marine procedures onboard
  3. Monitor and ensure that the vessel has the necessary certificates and procedures to operate
  4. Together with Technical, carry out vessel inspections
  5. Monitor and ensure general vessel maintenance is maintained according to the planned PMS (Planned Maintenance System)

What we're looking for

  1. Extensive experience (8+ years) in a port management or senior maritime operations role
  2. Thorough understanding of port operations, including cargo handling, vessel management, and regulatory compliance
  3. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce
  4. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  6. Familiarity with relevant maritime regulations and safety standards
  7. Relevant qualifications in maritime, logistics, or a related field
