Some of your duties will include:

• Provides leadership, technical expertise, and governance over all conveyor systems within the process plant operations. The role ensures conveyor reliability, safety, and availability through robust maintenance, QAQC standards, and strategic planning. With deep expertise in steel cord, fabric, and specialty conveyor systems, the role also provides technical advisory support on design, installation, and improvement projects. A strong focus is placed on training and mentoring in-house teams, developing local capability, and ensuring safe, efficient conveyor operations aligned with business objectives.
• Conveyor Strategy & Reliability – Lead conveyor system strategy across the site, ensuring safety, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Technical Advisory – Provide subject matter expertise on conveyor design, belt splicing, steel cord systems, pulley lagging, idler alignment, and QAQC.
• Maintenance & Shutdowns – Coordinate with the planning functions to forecast, and oversee conveyor belt change-outs, shutdowns, and major maintenance projects.
• Training & Capability Development – Develop training structured training programs to develop local expertise in conveyor systems maintenance.
• Compliance & Safety – Ensure conveyor operations comply with corporate and regulatory safety standards, leading incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Project Support – Provide technical input and leadership during new conveyor installations, upgrades, and expansions.
• Stakeholder Engagement – Act as key interface with operations, maintenance, projects, and OEMs/suppliers to align conveyor performance with site objectives.
• Reporting & QAQC – Maintain QAQC systems, conveyor performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor degree or technical qualifications in Mechanical or related field; Conveyor-specific certifications is preferred

• 15+ years' experience in conveyor systems across mining, heavy industry, and international operations. At least have 5 years of experience in managerial role as Superintendent/ Advisor Conveyor.

• Proven expertise in conveyor belt splicing (steel cord, finger splice, fabric step splice), pulley lagging, rubber lining, and idler alignment; Extensive shutdown and conveyor installation experience, including large-scale steel cord systems; Experienced in QAQC, forecasting, maintenance planning, and contractor management.

• Advanced conveyor system design, installation, and maintenance knowledge; Good knowledge and practice in QAQC systems and reliability engineering for conveyor operations.

• Demonstrated leadership of conveyor teams; Strong track record in training, mentoring, and capability development of in-house splicing and maintenance teams; Good in teamwork, collaboration, and communication; Stakeholder engagement and cross-functional coordination; Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment;

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate;
