The Role

Weatherford is seeking an experienced Field Specialist III to execute and support advanced field operations related to Liner Hanger, Completions, and Wellbore Cleanup (WBCU) systems across onshore, offshore, and deepwater projects in Indonesia. This senior-level role serves as the key technical representative at rig sites, leading field jobs, coordinating with clients and internal teams, and ensuring safe and efficient service delivery in dynamic field environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute field operations for Liner Hanger, Completions, and WBCU systems across onshore, offshore, and deepwater projects in Indonesia.
  • Perform comprehensive pre-job planning including tool selection, equipment preparation, risk analysis, and mobilization for complex completion operations.
  • Provide on-site engineering support including hand calculations, Torque and Drag simulations, and software-based computations to optimize completion performance.
  • Serve as primary client interface at rig sites, acting as technical representative to ensure superior service quality and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Monitor and analyze real-time well data to identify risks, optimize performance, and recommend appropriate solutions and technical services.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise junior field personnel while coordinating with operations teams to ensure safe and efficient rig site operations.
  • Participate in or lead equipment failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage comprehensive documentation including service tickets, job reports, WPTS data, tallies, and running procedures to support accurate invoicing.
  • Support workshop teams with equipment preparations, documentation, and dispatch activities when not on rig assignments.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in safe condition while managing field inventory and ensuring compliance with QHSSE standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • 10-12 years of field specialist experience in Liner Hanger, Completions, and WBCU operations within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of deepwater experience (15+ jobs) in Liner Hanger, Completions, and WBCU systems required.
  • High School diploma required; Technical Certificate or Degree highly advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of rig operations, well conditions, downhole tools, and completion calculations with strong technical judgment.
  • Proficiency in well simulation software including Torque and Drag applications and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong fundamentals in Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and mathematical reasoning.
  • Excellent communication skills with good command of English for client and team coordination.
  • Available for 24-hour on-call response with ability to travel domestically and internationally 50-75%.
  • Physical capability to perform demanding field work in challenging onshore, offshore, and deepwater environments.
