About the role

As a Translator Mandarin - Indonesia at PT. Pelayaran Guntur Line', you will play a vital role in facilitating seamless communication and collaboration between our operations in Liberia (the selection process and interview sessions will be conducted in Jakarta).

This is a full-time position that will see you work closely with our teams to ensure accurate and efficient translations between Mandarin and Indonesian.

What you'll be doing

  1. Translating correspondence, from Mandarin to Indonesian and vice versa
  2. Interpreting spoken Mandarin and Indonesian during negotiations and other interactions
  3. Ensuring the consistent use of terminology and language across all translated materials
  4. Contributing to the continuous improvement of translation processes and resources

What we're looking for

  1. Fluency in both Mandarin and Indonesian, with the ability to translate between the two languages with a high degree of accuracy
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  3. Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistent terminology and formatting
  4. Experience working as a professional translator in a business or commercial setting
  5. Familiarity with translation software and tools
  6. A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
