SUMMARY
The Accountant/Tax Specialist III fully performs various accounting activities in support of the shared services accounting department. Completes activities like journal entry preparation, reconciliation, and research in addition to preparing and managing the required tax filing requirements. Establishes, modifies, documents, and coordinates the implementation of accounting and control procedures as needed to meet established company goals and comply with regulatory standards. Typically follows prescribed guidelines or procedures to resolve problems and performs a variety of routine tasks or assignments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs monthly close process and prepare journal entries on GL activity.
- Reconciles monthly accounts by way of preparing balance sheet reconciliations for various legal entities.
- Transfers and reviews sub ledger activity (depreciation, sales, retirement, and CIP) to the General Ledger and reconcile fixed asset sub ledger to the General Ledger.
- Prepares and reviews monthly Capital Expenditure, PP&E Roll forward, Sales and Retirement reports for managers.
- Maintaining and reconciling fixed asset tax ledgers and tax basis tracking.
- Manage and update the lease accounting software to ensure that lease reporting is accurate.
- Records and reviews monthly amortization cost of prepaid expenses.
- Assist in managing the cash flow by accounting for payments of cash and receipt of funds.
- Prepares support and maintain accurate accrual balances.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings in compliance with Indonesian Directorate
- General of Taxes (DGT) requirements, including PPH 21, PPH 23, VAT, and annual corporate income tax (CIT).
- Ensuring compliance with local and global transfer pricing regulations, including preparation and maintenance of documentation aligned with OECD and Indonesian TP rules (PMK-213/PMK.03/2016).
- Preparing the quarterly and annual tax reports to the Corporate Tax Department as support for the tax review and disclosure in the Company's financial statements.
- Assisting with tax audits and correspondence with the Indonesian tax authorities (DJP).
- Coordinating with business units and field offices to resolve tax-related issues including tax provision, compliance, and contract reviews.
- Conducting research on local and international tax issues and assisting with planning and advisory projects.
- Monitoring compliance with SOX internal controls related to tax processes and documentation.
- May guide and support less experienced team members as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required with a preference for a Master's Degree in Accounting or MBA from an accredited college or university.
- EXPERIENCE: years related professional general ledger accounting experience is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Indonesian tax compliance with exposure to international tax/transfer pricing a plus
KNOWLEDGE:
- Has working knowledge and experience in own discipline. Strong understanding of the Indonesian tax law and regulations including VAT, WHT, corporate income tax and transfer pricing.
SKILLS (proficiency level generally aligns to knowledge section above):
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical capabilities including a full command of mathematics, weights, and measures.
- Strong command of spreadsheets (Excel) and ERP accounting software with Oracle experience a plus.
- Solid interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to work cross functionally in a multinational environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working within defined parameters in close alignment with supervision and ability to work independent.
- Discipline-specific applicable software and tools.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and proficient in English, both written and verbal
