About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our team at Manna', a leading restaurant in Samarinda, East Kalimantan. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our customers. This is a contract role based in our Samarinda location.

What you'll be doing

  1. Developing and implementing innovative menu concepts that showcase your culinary expertise
  2. Managing and leading a team of skilled chefs, line cooks and kitchen staff
  3. Ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation and service
  4. Monitoring kitchen operations to maintain efficiency, quality and cost control
  5. Collaborating with the management team to drive continuous improvements
  6. Maintaining a safe, clean and organised kitchen environment

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role
  2. Proven track record of developing and executing successful menu concepts
  3. Excellent leadership and team management skills
  4. Strong background in a variety of cuisines and cooking techniques
  5. Thorough understanding of food safety, hygiene and cost control practices
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  7. Passion for using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients
