Description

This role will be a key player responsible for the comprehensive administration of our critical database systems and applications. The primary focus will be on ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our Oracle databases, including Oracle E-Business Suite, which supports our core business operations. Oracle DBA will collaborate closely with development teams on architecture design and contribute to various IT projects.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage the health, availability, performance, and security of all business-critical databases and applications, with a strong focus on Oracle systems.
  • Monitor database performance, implement changes, and tune queries to ensure fast and reliable application response times.
  • Design and implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. Enforce security policies and manage user access to protect sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design scalable and efficient database and application architectures for new projects and system enhancements.
  • Take ownership of database-related projects, demonstrating strong project management, leadership, and effective communication skills to ensure successful delivery.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for resolving complex database and application issues, providing exceptional support to end-users and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration in a corporate environment.
  • Medium to Expert-level knowledge in managing Oracle Databases that run core enterprise systems and Data Warehouses.
  • Proven experience in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) application administration and maintenance.
  • Strong proficiency in database performance tuning, patching, security hardening, and backup/recovery procedures using tools like RMAN.
  • Solid experience with Linux and Unix operating systems, particularly AIX.
  • Familiarity with other major RDBMS platforms, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server.
  • A solid understanding of broader IT architecture principles, including servers, storage, and networking.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) is highly desirable.
