SENIOR SPECIALIST SOLUTION ARCHITECT

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Comply with all Policies and procedures regarding IT Policies and Procedures will be specifically rated in each annual performance review.
• Evaluate, recommend improvements and propose solutions to company processes, including but not limited to: business case, single and multivariate business process reengineering and detailed requirements.
• Conduct analysis to identify opportunities to optimize and increase return on investment (ROI) for related initiatives.
• Provide analysis regarding value realization plans related to return on investment for business solutions.
• Assesses near-term needs using a structured requirement process to identify business priorities.
• Develops, writes, and communicates business requirements for the design and implementation of business solutions across business units with complex processes.
• Contributes to ensure successful implementation of system enabled process. Ensure utilization and adoption by the corporation within the AMM by assisting with project planning and execution efforts.
• Review other software package solutions; evaluate ability to meet business requirement and implementation strategies.
• Lead projects, produce project documentation, develop user documentation and conduct user training.
• Lead business process analysis and approve recommendations for improvement, optimization, or digital enablement initiatives.
• Develop and validate business cases for proposed IT and business solutions, including ROI and value realization assessments.
• Approve the development and documentation of business requirements and system design specifications for complex cross-unit processes.
• Provide authoritative input on the selection and implementation strategy of commercial software solutions and internal applications.
• Lead project execution efforts including planning, resource coordination, testing, and user adoption support.
• Define performance metrics and monitor the success of digital initiatives or reengineered business processes.
• Review and authorize user documentation, training materials, and knowledge transfer sessions to ensure business readiness.
• Escalate and resolve project issues and roadblocks, ensuring alignment with timelines and objectives.
• Enforce compliance with software change control procedures, corporate development standards, and data integrity policies.

Required Technical Skills and Experience:

• B.S. or B.A. in Engineering, Geology, Computer Science, or related technical field
• 7 minimum years of experience of operations process analysis, design, and business case development.
• Experience in working with business or operations in some departments such as Accounting, Finance, HR, Mining, Exploration, Supply Chain, Maintenance or Engineering Projects business areas
• Experienced in implementing business process modelling, workflow analysis, and process redesign across large multi-national organizations.
• Be able to analyze complex business processes and develop integrated solution architecture across multiple business units.
• Be able to prepare and evaluate business cases, including ROI, value realization planning, and risk analysis.
• Be able to assess current systems and identify opportunities for reengineering or digital transformation.
• Be able to document structured business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
• Be able to facilitate stakeholder alignment and ensure effective change adoption in collaboration with change management teams.
• Be able to define and track successful metrics for system-enabled processes and business improvements.
• Be able to produce high-quality project documentation, including plans, scope, timelines, and stakeholder communication materials.
• Be able to conduct training, prepare user documentation, and support knowledge transfer initiatives.
• Be able to implement and oversee software change control procedures and system testing practices.
• Essentials to have: ITIL Foundation Certification, TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 Certification, Business Analysis Certification (e.g., CBAP, CCBA)
