B.   ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking Associates at the Senior level to join our Corporate & Commercial Department in Jakarta, Indonesia. Corporate and Commercial Law covers the legal framework for running businesses, with Corporate Law focusing internally (formation, governance, M&A, shareholders) and Commercial Law focusing externally (contracts, sales, IP, trade, consumer protection). While distinct, they overlap, dealing with everything from setting up a company and managing its structure (corporate) to its day-to-day dealings and transactions with other entities (commercial).

This is an excellent opportunity for highly motivated individuals to develop their legal skills within a dynamic and supportive team environment. C.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Associate at MNP, you will:

  • Advise clients on corporate and commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and business restructuring.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to support clients in achieving their business objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with team members on complex legal issues, providing insightful and pragmatic solutions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and client advisory work.
  • Manage client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.

D. KEY REQUIREMENTS

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Corporate Transactions and M&A work.
  • A law degree (Sarjana Hukum) from a reputable Indonesian university.
  • A PERADI license (strongly preferred).
  • Fluency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English (spoken and written).
  • A strong academic background with well-developed legal and analytical skills.
  • A commercial mindset and the ability to apply legal knowledge in a business context.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
