What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services
  2. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers to optimise costs and service levels
  3. Oversee the inventory management system to maintain optimal stock levels and minimise waste
  4. Analyse market trends, supplier performance, and inventory data to identify opportunities for improvement
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing activities with production and logistics requirements
  6. Ensure compliance with all procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
  7. Mentor and develop the purchasing team to build their capabilities

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement management role, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry
  2. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address supply chain issues
  4. Proficient in using procurement software and data analysis tools
  5. Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  6. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
