Tax Superintendent

Direct report to: Tax Manager

Position Overview:

The Tax Superintendent will oversee the tax compliance (Annual Corporate Income Tax Calculation and submission of Tax Return) and the tax audit activities of the organization. This role ensures adherence to tax regulations, manages tax audits, and disputes.

Note: Specifically requires candidates with strong experience in Tax Audit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage tax audit processes, including preparation of documentation, responses to tax authorities, and dispute resolution.

• Ensure accurate and timely filing of annual tax returns

• Monitor and interpret new tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on company operations.

• Provide tax advisory support to management on compliance risks and tax-efficient strategies.

• Supervise tax reporting, compliance activities, and internal controls to ensure audit readiness

• Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and government tax officials

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and or Taxation (fiscal)

• Professional tax certifications (e.g., Brevet A, B, and C in Indonesia or equivalent international qualifications).

• Strong knowledge of tax applications (Core Tax) and Odoo accounting system shall be an advantage.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (oral and written).

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of tax regulations, compliance frameworks, and audit procedures.

• Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and drafting skills for correspondence with tax authorities.

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure.

• High integrity and attention to detail.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in taxation, with at least 3 years in tax audit and compliance.

• Proven track record in handling tax audits, disputes, and litigation processes.

• Experience in energy, and/or coal mining.

• Experience in corporate tax departments or auditing firms is highly valued.

• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage cross-functional tax projects.
