Position Title: Kindergarten Chinese Language Teacher

Department: Kindergarten

Location: Jakarta Nanyang School, BSD City, Tangerang

Employment Type: Full-time

Reporting To: Kindergarten Principal

Jakarta Nanyang School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kindergarten Chinese Language Teacher to join our Kindergarten team. The successful candidate will create a nurturing and engaging learning environment that supports the holistic development of young children and lays a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver structured, interactive, and engaging Chinese language lessons for kindergarten students that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development
  • Develop teaching plans, prepare lessons, and manage classrooms effectively
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, teaching assistants, and parents to support student development
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records
  • Encourage curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning in every child

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chinese Education, Chinese Language, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master's degree is an advantage)
  • Standard Mandarin pronunciation and excellent Chinese language proficiency
  • Minimum of 3 years' teaching experience at Kindergarten or Early Years level, preferably in an international or SPK school setting
  • Familiarity with inquiry-based learning and child-centred teaching approaches
  • Ability to use English for daily communication and collaboration
  • Strong classroom management skills, with a warm, caring, and patient personality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Creative, energetic, and passionate about inspiring young learners
