  • Conducting risk assessments and identifying technology-related risks
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring risk mitigation strategies, controls, policies, and standards
  • Ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulation
  • Collaborating with different departments and stakeholders to enhance security measures and processes
  • Acting as a liaison between technology teams and other departments
  • Supporting internal and external audits
  • Performing data analysis and reviewing procedures to ensure compliance
  • Staying updated on industry trends, threats, and best practices
  • Preparing and presenting risk reports to management

Minimum Qualifications: Background Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field is typically required. Some senior roles may prefer an advanced degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in IT audits, risk assessments, or technology evaluations is preferred. Experience in IT risk management or governance is often required
  • Experience in a specific area like application security, network security, or access management is a plus

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, security frameworks (like NIST or ISO 27001), and IT controls is crucial. Familiarity with different operating systems, databases, and application delivery life cycles is also valuable
  • Regulatory: Knowledge of relevant banking regulations, compliance standards, and third party management
  • Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, assess, and mitigate risks
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed for interacting with various stakeholders, from technical teams to senior management
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a team, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate integrity are essential
