Role Description

This is a contract role for an Electrical Technician. The Electrical Technician will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including electrical maintenance, troubleshooting electrical issues, and managing electrical equipment. This is a hybrid role, implying that the position is located in East Kalimantan but some work from home is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Electrical Maintenance and Electrical Equipment skills
• Understanding of Electricity and Electrical Engineering principles
• Strong Troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in the industrial sector is a plus
• Relevant certification or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field

Job Summary

Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical power, lighting, and control systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Responsibilities include reading blueprints and diagrams, identifying electrical problems, and ensuring all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards.

Core duties and responsibilities

Installation: Installs wiring, lighting, and control systems in new and existing buildings.

Maintenance: Performs routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems and equipment, such as transformers and circuit breakers.

Troubleshooting and repair: Diagnoses malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment (e.g., ohmmeters, voltmeters) and repairs or replaces faulty parts.

Safety and compliance: Adheres to all state and local building regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Planning and documentation: Reads and interprets blueprints and technical diagrams, and accurately documents work performed and materials used.

Teamwork and supervision: Collaborates with other construction professionals and may direct or train apprentices and junior technicians.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program or trade school certification.

Valid electrician's license like BNSP, Kemenaker

Proficiency with hand and power tools and a variety of testing devices
