Job Purpose:

Responsible for creation and preparation of the structural/ fabrication drawings as well as 3D models of various structures required for projects, following instructions from design engineers, and using knowledge of structural drawing symbols and applicable codes.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Prepare structural and fabrication drawings from preliminary sketches and specifications

·       Provide drafting support for all project requirements

·       Create 3D models for demonstration use by various teams and sales department

·       Gathering the structural and material requirements

·       Maintain the registry of drawings

·       Create drawing templates and 3D models database for engineering department

·       Storing and filing project drawings for future references

Job Requirement :

·     Post-secondary diploma in drafting or equivalent

·     Minimum 2 years of working experience (preferably in Marine Industry/ Marine Transportation)

·     Good English speaking

·     Advanced experience in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (Inventor or SolidWorks)

·     Familiar with Classification Society Rules/ MWS Guidelines

·     Experience in steel structural and steel fabrication drawing preparation

·     Good knowledge of engineering drawing symbols

·     Effective verbal and written communication skills

·     Ability to meet deadlines and multitasking

·     Able to work independently
