As RV enters a new phase of strengthening its B2C retail brand, we are looking for a Freelance Product Designer to support product exploration, refinement, and collection development that balances design, functionality, and sustainability.

This role is ideal for designers who enjoy hands-on experimentation, collaborative processes, and designing for real-world production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new product designs and collections for fashion and lifestyle accessories using recycled plastic materials
  • Refine existing product lines to improve functionality, comfort, durability, and aesthetic consistency
  • Translate design concepts into clear technical drawings and simple production guidelines suitable for artisan-based production
  • Collaborate closely with artisans to ensure designs are feasible, efficient, and scalable
  • Experiment with forms, patterns, and construction methods for recycled plastic sheets
  • Support collection development aligned with RV's B2C retail direction and seasonal themes

Requirements

  • Background in product design, fashion design, or industrial design
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating product development and design thinking
  • Ability to create technical drawings or simple tech packs
  • Experience with prototyping, sewing, or hands-on material experimentation is highly preferred
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, iterative, and community-based production environment
  • Interest in sustainability, circular design, and social impact
