We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cost Controller to join our hospitality company in Bali.
The Cost Controller will play a pivotal role in monitoring and managing costs, financial performance, and optimizing profitability while maintaining the high standards of our hospitality services.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze financial data for the company, including revenue, costs, and budgets.
- Prepare regular financial reports, budget forecasts, and variance analyses to assess performance.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and make data-driven recommendations to improve profitability.
Cost Management:
Monitor and control costs related to restaurant operations, including food and beverage, maintenance, and other operational expenses.
- Work closely with department heads to ensure adherence to budgeted costs.
Implement cost reduction strategies without compromising service quality.
Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory tracking, ordering, and stocking for various departments.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
• Optimize inventory turnover rates and minimize carrying costs.Vendor Management:
Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
Maintain relationships with key vendors and evaluate the quality and cost-effectiveness of supplies.
Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payment processing.
Menu and Procurement Analysis (if applicable):
Collaborate with chefs and culinary teams to assess the profitability of menu items.
- Recommend adjustments to menu offerings based on cost and popularity.
Monitor portion control, recipe standardization, and procurement procedures for F&B outlets.
Compliance and Procedures:
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial procedures.
Develop and enforce cost control policies and procedures throughout the company.
Training and Support:
Train staff on cost control best practices, including procurement and waste reduction.
- Provide guidance and support to department heads and staff regarding financial matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. A relevant certification (e.g., CMA or CPA) is a plus.
- Proven experience in cost control, financial analysis, or related roles in the hospitality industry.
- Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions.
- Knowledge of hospitality operations, including hotel and restaurant cost management.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel for data analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with various departments and teams.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in financial records.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage costs effectively in a dynamic hospitality environment.
