Established over a hundred years ago, Takasago is a global leading company in the flavour and fragrance industry, having developed flavours and fragrances for some of the world's most successful manufacturers of foods, beverages, fine fragrances, home, and personal care products.
For over 35 years, we have been a leading industrial producer of L-Menthol, using our core technology, asymmetric synthesis.
This technology enables us to produce unique, novel, and nature-identical aroma ingredients, and in addition, to manufacture pharmaceutical intermediates, functional materials, and other fine chemicals.
Takasago Group maintains offices, production sites, and R&D centers in twenty-seven countries and regions.
Responsibilities:
- Have full understanding of the fragrance business and use this knowledge to define and lead competitive solutions/strategies to generate business opportunities and drive results.
- Establish fragrance development programs to enhance creative capabilities in key categories of focus (Fabric Care & Personal Wash).
- Review project process and propose improvements.
- Manage project assignments.
- Execute pro-active projects to support strategy for each key category.
- Lead cross functional collaboration to align fragrance creation and concept proposal generation/implementation.
- Work closely with R&D to facilitate application of Takasago technology to fragrances.
- Prioritize technology related activities aligned with key categories of focus.
- Contribute to defining next-generation technology needs.
- Coordinate Creative Centre activities with other Takasago Creative Centres to support MNA, GTA and other key account projects.
- Ensure alignment with global programs and tools to consistently drive process and effective execution.
- Connect with internal and at times external customers; share knowledge and promote teamwork and strategic partnerships.
- Manage pipeline of talent.
Qualifications:
- Degree from Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other relevant studies
- 20 years of working experience, with at least half of the experience is handling and managing Division.
- Strong senior leadership, with proven results in strategic planning, financial management (including P&L responsibility), and operations.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and the ability to motivate and manage teams to drive business growth and achieve strategic goals.
