Job Summary
The Buggy Driver is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and courteous transportation services for guests and staff within the property using a buggy or electric cart. This role ensures a smooth guest experience by assisting with luggage, offering helpful information, maintaining the vehicle's cleanliness and condition, and adhering to all safety and operational procedures. The Buggy Driver plays an essential role in delivering excellent hospitality service and supporting daily operational needs across the property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport guests and employees around the property using a buggy/electric cart.
- Provide a welcoming and friendly experience, ensuring guest comfort throughout the ride.
- Offer directions, property information, and respond to guest inquiries professionally.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Concierge, or other departments for pick-up and drop-off schedules.
- Ensure the buggy is clean, presentable, and well-maintained at all times.
- Check battery level, tires, brakes, lights, and other essential functions before each shift.
- Report any mechanical issues or damage immediately to the supervisor or engineering team.
- Follow all driving and safety rules, including speed limits and designated routes.
- Comply with all company policies, SOPs, and safety protocols.
- Ensure passengers are safely seated before operating the vehicle.
- Avoid risky driving behaviors and maintain high awareness of surroundings.
- Follow protocols for transporting VIPs, elderly guests, or guests with disabilities.
- Support daily operations across departments as required (e.g., housekeeping, events, logistics).
- Assist during high guest traffic periods, special events, or emergency situations.
- Maintain communication through radio/handheld devices for coordination.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent (SMA/SMK).
- Previous experience as a driver or similar role in hospitality is an advantage.
- Familiarity with electric vehicles or buggy operation preferred.
- Holds an active and valid driver's license, especially Class A.
Skills & Abilities:
- Good driving skills with strong awareness and focus on safety.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift or carry luggage when needed.
- Basic understanding of property layout and guest flow.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physically fit, reliable, and punctual.
