A central feature of the program is that it provides support to The Community Welfare Policy Assistance Team (formerly known as TNP2K Policy team), a policy think tank which provides evidence-based policy advice and coordination across a range of GoI ministries and agencies. PROAKTIF has two outcomes, first, to facilitate The Community Welfare Policy Assistance Team (formerly known as TNP2K Policy team) in making an effective contribution to reforming and improving poverty alleviation programs; and second, to optimize The Community Welfare Policy Assistance Team (formerly known as TNP2K Policy team) performance, including in the promotion of gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) and performance monitoring.

**The Role**
- The Legal and Regulatory Research Assistant is responsible for supporting The Community Welfare Policy Assistance Team in the development and refinement of legal and regulatory frameworks that align with national poverty reduction strategies. This role involves conducting legal research, analyzing existing regulations, and drafting policy recommendations to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and policy objectives. The assistant will also provide technical inputs to enhance the effectiveness of social protection programs and contribute to the preparation of legal documents and regulatory proposals to support Policy Assistance Team’s initiatives.

**TOR - Legal and Regulatory Research Assistant (PROAKTIF)**

**About You**
- Ø **Education and experience**:

- A bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B.), public policy, political science, or related fields.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in legal research, regulatory drafting, or policy analysis.
- Experience in working with government institutions, international organizations, or think tanks is a plus.
- Ø **Technical Skills**
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian legal and regulatory frameworks, particularly in areas related to social protection, poverty reduction, and public policy.
- Proficiency in conducting legal research and drafting legal documents (e.g., regulations, guidelines, and policy recommendations).
- Familiarity with international legal standards and best practices in poverty reduction or social protection is an advantage.
- Ø **Soft Skills**
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ø **Other Requirements**
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Willing and able to travel for work.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in gender equality, disability, or social inclusion.

- Experience and/or knowledge of disability inclusion in Indonesia.
