**About the role**:
Reporting to our GM and Head of Finance, the Accountant’s most important duties are executing the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping, including the payments cycle.

The Accountant’s most critical mission is to ensure that all the company's transactions are tracked properly and our books and financial statements are accurate.

**Duties**:
**1. Process and record all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank statements.**
- Execute all Payments
- Reconcile bank accounts weekly
- Manage petty cash
- Assist with expense reports and reimbursement

**2. Monthly and Yearly Reporting**:

- Perform weekly and monthly budget control
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Close the books monthly and annually.
- Generate reports for management and stakeholders.
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.

**3. Compliance**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records according to Indonesian and US accounting standards and regulations.
- Work with external auditors to ensure compliance during audits.
- Stay informed of changes in Indonesian and US tax laws and regulations

**4. Taxation**
- Manage monthly Payroll tax reporting for Indonesia and SG
- Manage Sales Tax Reporting for Indonesia and SG
- Prepare Monthly and Annual Tax returns for all entities (Indonesia and Singapore)

**Outcomes**:

- Transition current bookkeeping responsibilities from outsourced bookkeeper to internal during Month 1
- Work with our part-time Head of Finance to identify current deficiencies in our accounting and FS processes and resolve them during Q4
- Determine if external accounting support is necessary for tax calculations and payroll, or ideally move it in-house Q4
- Close the books and deliver the financial statements of the previous month within the first two weeks of the next month, on a regular basis

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in an international company.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and Indonesian GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Proficiency in bookkeeping software Xero.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of US and/or Singaporean accounting practices (a plus).
