The Government of North Macedonia is planning to award Bechtel, along with our joint venture partner, the construction of approximately 110km of dual carriageway motorway.

The project is of significant national importance and the Government of North Macedonia is entrusting the joint venture to fast track the development and construction of these strategic motorways which will form part of the Pan-European Corridors IIIV and Xd, which will enhance North Macedonia’s transport connections with neighbouring countries and support economic and social development.

These four new sections of motorway will continue Bechtel’s legacy in delivering successful motorways in the Balkan region. The North Macedonia motorway consists of two sections in the east heading south from the capital Skopje and running parallel to the Sharr mountains, one section passing through the UNESCO natural world heritage site around Lake Ohrid (one of Europe’s deepest and oldest lakes), with the fourth section in the South of the country close to the border with Greece which will enhance connectivity between the cities of Bitola and Prilep.

**Position Summary**

In the Project Operations Coordinator role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team of industry professional across the globe to support the Team. This is a camp based role situated in North Macedonia.

**Typical Responsibilities**

The Project Operations Coordinator will be responsible for:

- Preparation of presentations and reports on behalf of the Program Manager
- Attendance of meetings or other activities to represent Program Manager as required.
- Analysis of data and development of solutions to assigned projects (typically focused around cross functional/department challenges)
- Various special tasks assigned by program manager
- Coordination of PMT tasks (management of PMT action items list)
- Assistance to all departments as assigned by the program manager
- Manage and expedite PMT actions for all departments
- Preparation of regular reports for Bechtel senior management (off project)
- Mobilizes and utilizes the information resources of the throughout the organization in support of the Program Manager’s role.
- Collects and coordinates a variety action items with the program’s team members
- Conducts research for, provides input to, and coordinates the preparation of strategic and operating plans.
- May assist in the development of and maintains performance measures for monitoring organizational performance.
- Oversees assigned professional and administrative work. Supervises various office administration matters including office facilities, space arrangements and procedural items.
- May conduct and participate in special studies and projects of an analytical nature.
- Coordinates items and materials for the executive and client meetings. Prepares background information as required.
