Overview:

- Overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a construction project through best construction practices specifically in Mechanical Structures, Pipe-lines, Equipment Installation Projects. Monitoring and controlling of project schedule, project cost, resources through earned value management process.
- Second in command and should be able to drive project in absence of Tech Project Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Should be able to lead & drive all activities (Mechanical, Electrical and Civil) in order to provide full support to overall Tech Project Manager.
- Be able to drive project in absence of Tech Project Manager or busy in reviews & meetings with Senior Leadership and OEM’s.
- Evaluation of scope of work by thorough study of construction drawings and project specifications;
- Initiation of Material Supply Requisition (MSRs) based on viable execution plan;
- liaison with other engineering trades (Civil / Electrical) for compliance with specified project specifications and schedules;
- Supervision of execution phases and identifying areas of improvement and narrowing gap in project schedules; through overlapping activities, identifying critical activities and prioritizing activities.
- Working closely with quality department and keeping them abreast of possible scenarios which may impeach concerns in execution;
- To bring the cost efficiencies by identifying key areas of improvement including synergic consideration;
- Developing critical success path for project phases and risk management implementation as per company standards and management guidelines;
- To engender and promote execution progress awareness, targeting Senior management and Budget owners/holders;
- Work with peer group of senior management to identify suitable key performance indicators to provide management information on project performance;
- Simultaneous, multiple project areas ownership over site pertaining to Capex.
- Vetting and appointing of direct reports consulting with statutory bodies, local authorities etc. to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
- Budget management to ensure all targets are achieved for capital, expense, asset write off and accruals.
- Compilation of feasibility studies, capital expenditure proposals and financial justifications of projects in conjunction with site requirements.
- Manage projects and contractors to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety act and AIB regulations.
- Ensure all manuals and drawings are updated as per project.
- Liaise with outside government agencies SNGPL (Natural Gas supply company), Boiler Inspectorate for smooth, unhindered supply and regulatory compliances
- Develop training needs assessment of the staff members, facilitating on job training & multi-skilling to make the best use of their potential.
- Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support

Qualifications:

- Engineering Degree - Mechanical
- 10 Years of Experience on Construction and MEP Projects. Incumbent must be able to prepare and evaluate cost estimates through man-hour, equipment, tools, consumables and resources break up. Must be able to identify and prepare activity break-up of construction tasks
- Project Management, monitoring and controlling of Projects, Earned Value Management. Ability to do PERT analysis.
- Strong leadership & analytical thinking
- Knowledge of Standard Construction Man-hours, Preparation of resource loaded cost loaded project schedules.
- Thorough knowledge of Projects Life Cycle & Project EHS Life Cycle.
