Understanding company needs and using them to create ideas and solutions that address and support business needs.
Work together to create and deploy an innovation with the Data Engineer team (required data & technology).
Work closely with the Data Science team to model data from various internal/external database sources or other systems using programming scripts (SQL, python, R, or other programming languages), in order to develop and implement a data innovation (use case) that has been shown to be advantageous to the business in the production area.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, BI Developer or Data Scientist (is a Plus)
- Experience in data mining
- Understanding of machine-learning and operations research
- Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset
- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop) is a plus
- Analytical mind and business acumen
- Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred
