The Role

This is a Development Economist position specializing in social protection systems, poverty reduction, and inclusive development.

The candidate will provide strategic analysis to strengthen the design and delivery of social assistance programs, enhance household resilience, and promote inclusive economic participation.

The role involves assessing the effectiveness, coverage, and efficiency of existing social assistance programs, evaluating policy options to improve targeting accuracy, benefit adequacy, and fiscal sustainability, and identifying strategies to integrate social protection with Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing strategic analysis to support the design and delivery of social assistance programs
  • Evaluating policy options to improve program effectiveness and efficiency
  • Identifying opportunities for integrating social protection with DPI

Requirements:

  1. Master's degree in economics, public policy, finance, or related field(s)
  2. At least 10 years of relevant work experience in economics, quantitative analysis, and/or public policy
  3. Proven expertise in development economics or development policy
  4. Experience in analyzing the Indonesian economy and/or other economies
  5. Excellent written communication skills with fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (both written and oral)
