We're currently seeking an experienced Senior Android Software Developer to join our team. As an Android engineer at Grab, you will play a critical role in designing and developing scalable, efficient, and user-friendly applications for our Driver App.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile application development, with expertise in Java or Kotlin, and experience with Android SDK, UI components, data storage, and testing frameworks like Espresso, UI Automator, Mockito, Powermock, or Appium.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features that improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of our services. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of millions of users who rely on Grab's platform daily.

As a Senior Android Software Developer at Grab, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Design and develop modularized reusable components and scalable APIs.
  • Collaborate with product managers to understand requirements and propose solutions.
  • Engage in code and design reviews to maintain high development standards.
  • Work with different engineering teams to explore and create new design/architectures geared towards scale and performance.
  • Participate in stability investigation, application performance analysis, tuning, and optimization.
