Job Overview:

The Service Manager Engineering plays a critical role in maintaining the high standard of facilities and services at Shangri-La Hotel, Surabaya.

As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of hotel facilities, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the maintenance activities of our hotel's facilities, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Supervise and train a team of engineering technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of hotel services and resolve any issues promptly.

Requirements:

  • Possess a strong understanding of building services, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Hold a Diploma or Certificate in Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
  • Have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
