Procurement Strategist

About The Role

As a Procurement Lead, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities across various categories, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring that all procurement processes align with the organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate the procurement of goods, including raw materials, equipment, and supplies, to support production and office operational needs.
2. Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and vendor performance.
3. Lead the sourcing and selection process for suppliers and vendors.
4. Evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and other relevant factors.
5. Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers/vendors/stakeholders to achieve the best value for the organization.
6. Ensure stakeholder satisfaction by providing timely and effective procurement solutions.
7. Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in full compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in FMCG, distribution, or retail.
• Proven experience in procurement, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
• Proven experience in handling manufacturing procurement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management skills to ensure all projects meet expected timelines.
• Solid understanding of procurement best practices, legal compliance, and risk management.
• A self-motivated individual with a demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
