Senior Software Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Paper. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing software applications using Golang. You will work closely with the Product Team to design and develop complex features and collaborate with other engineers to deliver high-quality software applications.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Designing and developing end-to-end software applications using Golang.
  • Implementing and optimizing relational & non-relational databases.
  • Maintaining and expanding our existing applications.
  • Collaborating with the Product Team to design and develop complex features.
  • Self-organizing under scrum methodology to deliver features to customers.
  • Implementing features with strong awareness of Reliability, Scalability, and Security.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience in software development, preferably in a payment company. The ideal candidate should possess excellent skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SQL, and Functional Programming. Experience with RDBMS, especially MySQL and PostgreSQL, is required. Additionally, familiarity with continuous integration tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins is a must. The candidate should have experience with creating API-based web applications with proper authentications and implementing automated testing. Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or BitBucket is also essential.
