Job Description

The Jakarta Centre for Law Enforcement Cooperation (JCLEC) Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Legal Officer to join its team. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of legal principles and practices.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to the management and staff of the JCLEC Foundation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and advising on legal documents, contracts, and policies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Supporting the management of statutory obligations in relation to the JCLEC Foundation Articles of Association and Indonesian Foundation Law.
  • Conducting risk assessments to identify potential risks and opportunities for the JCLEC Foundation.
  • Maintaining effective relationships and communication with stakeholders, including visitors and the extended community.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar role, with a Law Degree. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar role, with a Law Degree.
  • Experience working in a bi-lingual, cross-cultural environment, and government sectors is highly desirable.
  • Bi-lingual, both conversationally and in writing - Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
