  • Sustain and enhance ERM's leadership in the environmental consulting industry by developing and implementing innovative sustainability strategies that drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging expertise in environmental management, sustainability, and climate change.
  • Develop and maintain key client relationships, delivering high-quality services that meet their sustainability needs and exceed expectations.
  • Foster a culture of excellence within ERM, promoting employee development, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across practices and projects.
  • Leverage ERM's global network and expertise to stay ahead of industry trends, identifying opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Sustainability strategy and program development and implementation, and sustainability reporting.
    • Manage key accounts and large-scale Sustainability programs, developing sustainability communications for key stakeholders, identifying and developing new business opportunities.
    • Fulfill internal management responsibilities of ERM including planning and budgeting, training and professional development of sustainability consultants, and interfacing with other practice areas and project teams within ERM.
    • Develop direct reports, business and client skills.
    • Consulting experience and/or proven ability to perform key functions of a consultant, including developing and maintaining client relationships; pursuing and creating business opportunities; and managing multiple projects.
    • Build on client relationships and internal networks, conduct marketing activities, and project sales.
    • Work with other service teams on opportunities, proposals, projects and other marketing/business activities across the team, the company and broadly ERM global business.
    • Act as a role model and mentor to new joiners and junior consultants.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; master's degree preferred (sustainability development, sustainability management, sustainability science, Industrial engineering, public policy, environmental science, business administration).
  • At least 10-12 years' experience in sustainability related topics with environmental expertise and/or engineering work.
  • Strong writing ability to translate complex issues into concise, relevant stories.
  • Strong analytical, logic, problem-solving and systematic thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, along with facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrable project management experience with relevant project management tools.
  • Good knowledge in sustainability tools such as GRI, DJSI and ISO14000.
  • Proficiency with MS office suite; ability to learn others as required.
  • Good interpersonal skills, engagement skills and ability to facilitate participation from others.
  • Can-do attitude and enthusiasm, with strict attention to details, organization, and ability to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Willingness to undertake business travel.
