Job Description:

The Chief Engineer at Fairfield Inn & Suites is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the engineering department. This includes supervising staff, maintaining accurate records, and developing effective maintenance schedules.

Main Duties:

  1. Supervise engineering staff and provide guidance on best practices.
  2. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and asset management.
  3. Develop and implement effective preventive maintenance schedules.
  4. Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  5. Evaluate the need for capital expenditures and recommend projects.
  6. Liaise with vendors and contractors to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  7. Collaborate with colleagues to resolve guest complaints and issues.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience in engineering and maintenance or a related field, or
  • a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or a related major, and 2 years of experience in engineering and maintenance or a related field.
