Montessori Preschool Principal

EFL Montessori is an early childhood institution based on Montessori Curriculum.
The principal will also confer with staff and parents to discuss educational activities and policies and students’ behavioral or learning problems. Through the curriculum, the principal will communicate Montessori values upon which the nursery school was founded.
The job descriptions are:
- Develop the curriculum for each class and partner with teaching staff to determine how curriculum will be executed.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide students and teachers with assistance in resolving any problems.
- Set educational standards and goals and help establish policies, procedures, and programs to carry them out.
- Engage in ongoing assessment and evaluation of policies, procedures and programs, and implement change to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff and recommend developmental activities for programs and services.
- Supervise, lead and support teaching and administrative staff.
- Mentor teachers - teach through example and explanation how to fulfill their responsibilities as it applies to their classroom.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment at all times.
- Develop allocations of funds for staff, supplies, materials, and equipment, authorize purchases and manage the budget.
- Work with parents as needed for their child’s development and education.
The minimum requirements are:
- Woman
- Preferably live in West Jakarta
- Master/Bachelor Degree with good GPA (Early Childhood Education or Psychology or any related major)
- Fluent in English
- Experience in early development education required - must have at least two years of teaching experience for children under six years of age
- Creativity, initiative, flexibility and strong communication skills are essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact and communicate effectively with parents, children, and staff
- Must have the stamina and physical flexibility (walking, sitting, standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, running, stretching, reaching, climbing, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds) to participate in children's activities and communicate with children face to face
- Must be able to accompany children up and down stairs and also supervise motor activities such as, outdoor play
- Love and understanding of children
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Canva or Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop or any other design software
- Good understanding of International/Montessori and National Curriculum
- Understand Montessori Method of Education
- Maximum Age 40 years old
