Miscellaneous Underwriter

Job Summary- To provide consultation and guidance, under general supervision, to field underwriters to ensure profitability within specific line of business (LOB).- Job Qualifications- Required:

- Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Underwriting areaPreferred:

- CPCU- Strong verbal, listening and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities- Provide consultation and guidance to field underwriters, drawing upon knowledge and expertise on certain lines of business.
- Perform in-depth analysis relative to line of business (LOB) profitability.
- Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines.
- Contribute to product development, for certain lines of business.
- Contribute to Business Unit (BU) or enterprise-wide projects.
- Contribute to process improvement and technology innovation.
- Assist in performing underwriting technical reviews/audits
- Review policy language and construction.
- Assist with training from a technical underwriting standpoint.
- Focus on a specific portion(s) of a business unit from a technical standpoint.
- Address governance and regulatory issues.
- Account financial analysis.
