LOCATION: 100% REMOTE (Must be located in California)

PART-TIME: 25HRS/WEEK

PAY: $37.00/HR

**JOB SUMMARY**

**Responsibilities**:
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Monitor and identify grant funding opportunities.
- Review all Alliance grant contracts and identify and implement systems to ensure procurement, programmatic, reporting, and financial compliance.
- Meet with key government officials and donors to strengthen funding relationships.
- Lead and oversee the implementation of procedures to train, support and monitor local Club sites to meet grant requirements.
- Provide daily administration of funded programs as directed by the Executive Director (3-6 grants at any given time).
- Collect monthly and other regular reports from Boys & Girls Club subgrantees; communicate with Clubs on a regular basis to ensure timely submission of all reports and required documentation. Submit materials to Director for review and approval prior to submission.
- Conduct sub-grantee site visits as required.
- Assist in creation and tracking of budgets, billing, required reporting, and funder communication for assigned statewide grants.
- Maintain accurate records, both physical and electronic, to ensure adequate documentation is available at all times that demonstrates responsible use of grant funds.
- Ensure the timely, accurate and professional preparation of all correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, presentation materials, travel arrangements, expense reports to meet the needs of the statewide grants.
- Direct Accounting team in preparation of spreadsheets with monthly project expenditures from all grant funding sources. Present reports to the Executive Director and provide basic analysis of budgets to actual expenditures to identify issues of fiscal compliance. Maintain records to ensure funds are expended correctly and fully.
- Accurately prepare invoices for funding agency as required.
- Provide data to auditors and agencies as needed.
- Make grant presentations at large group meetings such as at the CA Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs’ annual Membership Meeting.
- Participate in activities to maintain good public relations for Club programs, services and activities.
- Support Board Committees, as assigned.

**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coordinate and participate in occasional meetings with funders.
- Assist Director in other related special projects, as assigned, including the Annual State Youth of the Year program, Legislative Day, and ongoing grassroots advocacy and recognition efforts.
- Work closely with the Alliance Director and potential partners to further other Alliance initiatives.

**SUPERVISION EXERCISED**
- No direct Reports; although there may be future opportunities as well as monitor and coordinate the work of student interns.

Qualifications:
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- 3 years required experience in complex project management, managing operations, and administrative tasks.
- 3 years required experience writing grant reports and submitting data for state or federally funded grants.
- 3 years required experience writing successful grant proposals for public and private funders.
- High school diploma or GED.

**ABILITIES**
- Successfully manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines, a high-level of detail and accuracy in reporting; and clear and concise communication in both verbal and written forms. Creative solution-finding is essential.

**SKILLS**
- Requires strong leadership & excellent communication skills, effective computer usage, and experience in Microsoft Office. Strong project management, administrative and organizational skills. Must be detail-oriented and enjoy working in a diverse environment.
- Individual selected for this position must be able to successfully be cleared for work through a comprehensive state and national criminal, child abuse/neglect and any other grant-required background check.

**ENVIRONMENTAL & WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Remote work environment; must be based in the State of California.
- Must be available for biweekly Zoom check-in meetings with supervisor.
- Minimal travel required; occasional meetings with funders or work travel may be available on a limited basis.
