**Information about the role**:
The Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and leading the data engineering efforts within our system and projects. - Lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable and efficient data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.

**Data Modeling**:

- Design and maintain optimized data models to support reporting, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.

**Performance Optimization**:

- Continuously monitor and enhance the performance of data processing systems for low latency and high throughput.

**Collaboration**:

- Work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and deliver solutions that drive data-driven decision-making.

**Data Governance**:

- Implement and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulations.

**Team Leadership**:

- Mentor and lead a team of data engineers, fostering best practices and a culture of continuous improvement.

**Innovation**:

- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and introduce innovative improvements to the data systems.

**Data Lake Planning and Implementation**:

- Plan and architect a scalable, high-performing, and cost-effective data lake to meet current and future data storage and processing needs.

**Requirement**
- **5+ years of experience in data engineering** with a proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale data pipelines and data lakes.
- Experience leading or mentoring a team of data engineers is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as **Python, Java,** or **Scala**.
- Expertise in data processing frameworks like **Apache Spark, Apache Flink,** or similar.
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as **AWS, Google Cloud,** or **Azure** (e.g., **Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake**).
- Solid understanding of **data lake architectures**, including the design and management of data lakes using technologies like **AWS Lake Formation, Azure Data Lake,** or **Google Cloud Storage**.
- Experience with **data warehousing** concepts and databases (e.g., **SQL, NoSQL,** columnar storage systems).
- Familiarity with **data modeling techniques** and tools such as **DBT, ER/Studio,** or similar.
- Experience with ETL tools such as **Apache NiFi, Talend,** or custom-built pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle large datasets.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
