**Position Overview**
The Quantity Surveyor (QS) is responsible for managing all costs related to building and construction projects, ensuring value for money while maintaining high standards of quality. This role involves assisting in project budgeting, cost control, and ensuring financial accuracy during construction.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Cost Estimation and Budgeting**:
- Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Provide detailed cost analysis based on project requirements and specifications.
- **Tendering and Procurement**:
- Support in preparing tender documents and contracts.
- Evaluate contractor bids and assist in selecting suitable contractors and suppliers.
- **Cost Monitoring and Control**:
- Monitor project costs to ensure they remain within budget.
- Identify cost variations and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- **Measurement and Valuation**:
- Conduct accurate measurements of quantities from drawings and specifications.
- Prepare bills of quantities (BoQ) and other cost-related documentation.
- **Site Coordination**:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address financial and cost-related issues on-site.
- Perform site visits to validate measurements and assess progress against budgets.
- **Reporting**:
- Assist in preparing financial reports and cost forecasts for stakeholders.
- Maintain clear documentation of all cost-related activities and variations.
- **Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and company policies related to cost management.
