An "Exploration Geologist" (GEO) position is therefore required in order to conduct an exhaustive review of growth opportunities, including projects under development, properties, prospects, prospective areas, as well as local partnership opportunities in the field of nickel extraction and processing and secondarily, any other opportunities relating to the Eramet group's business.

**Main objectives of the position**

To be the local ambassador for Eramet's Exploration Department and ensure that its best practices in terms of CSR, safety and quality are applied.

To actively contribute to the generation of targets and assessment of projects locally with the EXPLO Dept

**Main Responsibilities**:
In close collaboration with experts from the EXPLO Dept and the Mining Business Development Manager:

- GEO will contribute to generating greenfield targets from regional geological/geochemical data and geomorphological studies.
- GEO will contribute to technical due diligence work in order to facilitate access to the target projects' data by the Eramet Indonesia and Exploration Unit teams.
- GEO will be involved in dimensioning exploration campaigns for the target projects.
- GEO, working in close collaboration with the EXPLO Dept, will plan the logistics of the exploration campaigns (transport of personnel, equipment, samples and supplies, establishment of camps, opening and maintenance of access).
- GEO will be the point of contact locally for any subcontractors taking part in the work (drillers, transporters, social/environmental auditors, etc.) and will work with them to ensure compliance with contractual commitments.
- GEO will be ERAMET's ambassador locally, establishing and maintaining a long-term constructive relationship of trust with local communities.
- GEO will be responsible for periodic reporting on all field activities and data collected.
- GEO will participate in technical reporting on the exploration work undertaken.

**Requirements**:

- Min. bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineer or other related background
- Min. 3 years of experience of Mining exploration of laterite deposits
- Have good knowledge of Indonesian geology and metallogeny of laterite nickel ore deposits.
- Have good understanding of the development of regolithic profiles,
- Have proficiency in GIS software
- Have familiarity with the usual QA/QC procedures, and various sampling methods (auger boring/drilling, core/destructive sampling)
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Have the ability to adapt to exploration constraints
- Strong interpersonal skills in a varied cultural context
- Able and ready to undergo multiple exploration missions accross Indonesia and working remotely (in the field)
