In this role, you’ll get to work within a cross-functional, passionate, and agile project team to ensure quality is driven into the heart of the development process - from requirements definition through to delivery of the merchant-partnership experience. Working closely with our Product and core Engineering teams, you’ll build a well-implemented, durable testing framework that will be utilized by the wider Engineering team, improving the test automation experience at GoTo Financial.

**What you’ll do**:

- Improve the test automation experience at GoTo Financial by enhancing tools/scripts, test coverage, and/or code structure, and automate repeated manual tasks to improve self/stream’s productivity
- Manage timely testing and delivery of your own tasks (manual testing)
- Participate in product discussions, and refine the acceptance criteria
- Take responsibility for the entire life cycle of your stories: development, test, production, and subsequent fixes and improvements
- Write concise, comprehensive, detailed test plans, and review the test cases/ test plans written by junior engineers and peers
- Work closely with the Product team (i.e. PMs, Designers, Developers, and QA) right from the inception of features
- Understand business and product requirements as related to payments and the existing service architecture; gain a deeper understanding of the domain

**What you’ll need**:

- At least 4 years of practical experience in Software Testing or relevant industry experience
- Deep knowledge in Manual, Automation test methodologies and principles
- Experience in working with API, Web, and mobile (**optional**) testing in both manual and automation
- Highly experienced with testing tools such as Jira, TestRail, Git, Appium, Selenium, RestAssured, TestNG
- Experience in working with the Java programming language
- Solid analytical problem-solving skills with deep knowledge in Agile process management methodologies
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab pipelineUnderstanding of core business logic, algorithms, and datasets, with the ability to perform low-level System and Data Analysis

**Bonus points if**:

- If you have experience in performance testing.
- Experience and knowledge on Linux/Unix commands
