IFF is inviting a passionate and results driven individual to join our Procurement division as Procurement buyer, Indonesia.
As Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and vendor management to support our IFF facilities in Indonesia.
How you will contribute and lead
- Understand the Indonesia and regional market dynamics, economic situation, and business practices
- Monitor and manage performance of direct spend for the assigned locations / portfolio and ensure continuity of supply for designated sites of responsibility
- Work closely with planning and manufacturing division to address potential supply shortage
- As a member of the direct material procurement team, contribute to the execution of Global & Regional Procurement strategies by bringing in market intelligence and opportunities to optimize costs and drive productivity savings
- Provide support to Commercial and Creative teams as required for day-to-day requirements and strategic initiatives
- Build and manage internal relationships with key stakeholders in Creative & Applications (C&A), Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal, Quality, and GRA divisions
- Represent IFF Procurement as key liaison for external relationship management with suppliers or/potential supply partners to ensure smooth and efficient execution of purchasing strategies
- Lead the development of area-specific strategies in managing local / regional purchase portfolio
- Develop supplier network to ensure continuity of supply and cost competitiveness
- Oversee data maintenance integrity - on various purchasing system such as SAP, Zycus, supplier contact info, plant IPC assignment and commercial costing database
- Provide lead or support for entering IQR (Ingredient Qualification Review), plant extension, corporate documentation, payment terms, and data report generation.
- Manage budget and forecast cost of raw materials.
- Develop and implement action plans for others. Provide opportunities for developmental experiences and prioritize work for maximum impact
What you will need to be successful
- 3-5 years’ experience in the Flavors & Fragrances industry, Chemical or other related industry within a Procurement function.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, or any other relevant discipline from a reputable institute.
- Solid experience in sourcing, supply chain or suppliers’ management and excellent knowledge in procurement best practices
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing in a similar capacity, deep understanding of procurement and key supply markets, for both direct and indirect sourcing.
- Strong knowledge of the market, economy, and business practices, have expertise in raw material direct sourcing, preferably with good supplier network.
- Well versed in financial analysis, legal framework, business drivers and have the ability to engage cross-functional teams for project management and priority delivery
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work across different levels.
- Preferably bilingual in both Indonesian and English language. Chinese ability will be advantageous.
- Proficient to work in ERP environment including SAP, Zycus
