You’ll be solving supply chain problems that span the whole world: a smoke-free world. Your ‘day to day’ Utilize flavor knowledge to analyze competition, develop new or modify existing flavor & blends and troubleshoot issues in this area. The Flavorist/Sr.Flavorist will report to the Manager Flavor Development & Management & The Flavor Dev. & Mngmt. group will be one of the 3 pillars of CC Product Development Department - Develop or modify blends/flavors within a defined scope for use in various markets as per project or activity brief applying project management principles. - Conduct studies that will contribute to the development of new or modified PMI's product flavor systems from laboratory tests to industrial production. - Coordinate and/or prepare samples/ prototypes for evaluations and submit them for appropriate analytical and subjective testing. - Coordinate and participate in subjective evaluations for the purpose of developing new or modifying existing blends & flavors. - Collect, review and analyze analytical and subjective results in order to propose appropriate action plans for the next step of the project. - Control product specs adherence to appropriate regulations, guidelines and quality standards. - Produce product specification documents and control that product quality is compliant with specifications, prepare reports for communication. - Carry out all of the activities ensuring that PMI Compliance Policies, standards, and laws relating to these activities are fully respected, integrated and understood by stakeholders, and implement adequate processes to ensure the protection of information of a confidential nature. Who we’re looking for - College/University/Master in science or equivalent in area of scientific / technical specialization (e.g. Flavor Science, Food Chemistry, Food Technology). - Min 3 years of relevant experience in tobacco or food industry - Good command of English is a must - Experience with multidisciplinary collaborations & external partners - Comfortable in using / testing blends / flavors. - This job requires tasting and profiling the flavor systems in the finished products and therefore is intended only for individuals who are smokers.
