Geotech Engineer

**Key Responsibility**
- Looking at the risk of geological hazards and making sure any factors affecting engineering works are identified and managed
- Advising on procedures required and the suitability of construction materials
- Consulting geological maps and aerial photographs to advise on site selection
- Developing, installing, and managing instrumentation monitoring systems
- Assisting with the design of built structures, using specialised computer software or calculations
- Planning detailed field investigations by drilling and analysing samples of deposits or bedrock
- Advising on and testing a range of construction materials
- Making recommendations on the proposed use of a site
- Working to preserve and protect the physical environment
- Analysing sites and designs for environmentally sensitive developments, such as landfill.
- Observing and documenting field activities related to the construction process
- Performing calculations and data reduction of test results along with drafting
- Interacting and communicating daily with contractors, technicians, and project manager
- Assisting with the preparation of proposals
- Assisting with scheduling, training, and oversight of Field Technicians
- Assist with managing project budgets, project set-ups, and invoicing

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field of practice is required. Master’s Degree with a Geotechnical focus is a plus.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in civil - geotechnical engineering, with direct involvement in dam safety inspections, condition assessments, subsurface exploration programs, engineering analyses, dam rehabilitation design, and regulatory permitting
- Proven experience with design and development of engineering technical specifications, cost estimating, and other related bidding documents
- A strong background using various geotechnical computer software
- Well-honed and updated laboratory skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Good time management abilities.

**Job Types**: Trial period contract, Contract

- Jakarta: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- S1 (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Geotech Engineer: 10 years (required)
