**Job Description: Catering Service Crew**

**Position Overview**:The Catering Service Crew is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of catering services, from setup to breakdown, while delivering excellent customer service. This role requires efficiency, teamwork, and attention to detail to maintain high standards of food presentation and client satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Event Preparation and Setup**
- Assist in the packing and loading of catering equipment and supplies as per the checklist.
- Unload and set up event spaces according to layout plans, including tables, chairs, linens, decor, buffet stations, and service areas.
- Ensure all food and beverages are displayed attractively and meet company standards.
- Collaborate with the Event Manager and Chef to ensure all items are accounted for and properly arranged.

**Service Execution**
- Greet guests warmly and professionally, providing excellent service throughout the event.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, adhering to portion sizes and presentation guidelines.
- Monitor buffet stations (if any) and tables, ensuring the food & drink is replenished, clean, and visually appealing.
- Address guest inquiries and requests courteously, escalating any issues to the Event Manager as needed.

**Cleanliness and Hygiene**
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene protocols during service.
- Regularly clean and sanitize serving areas, utensils, and equipment throughout the event.
- Ensure personal appearance and uniform are clean and presentable.

**Event Breakdown and Cleanup**
- Clear tables, remove trash, and pack up equipment and supplies after the event.
- Clean and sanitize all areas used during the event, including food service and prep areas.
- Safely load and return equipment and supplies to the production facility.

**Team Collaboration**
- Work closely with the Event Manager, Chef, and other team members to ensure seamless event execution.
- Participate in pre-event briefings and post-event debriefings to improve service delivery.

**Key Qualifications and Skills**
- **Experience**: Prior experience in catering, hospitality, or food service is preferred but not required.
- **Skills**:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, especially in food presentation and cleanliness.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- **Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 kg.
- Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods, potentially in hot weather
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

**Performance Expectations**
- **Quality Service**: Deliver consistent and professional service, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- **Timeliness**: Arrive on time for shifts, adhere to event schedules, and complete tasks efficiently.
- **Hygiene and Presentation**: Maintain high standards of personal grooming and cleanliness.
- **Accountability**: Take responsibility for assigned tasks and contribute to the team's overall success.

**Additional Responsibilities**
- Assist in inventory management by tracking and reporting used or damaged equipment.
- Provide feedback to the Event Manager on guest experiences and areas for improvement.
- Participate in periodic training sessions to enhance service skills and stay updated on company standards.
