Piping Inspector

To carry out, coordinate and arrange the job/activities as required by the department objective
- Ensure the safety and quality requirements are met
- Day to day management of the departmental activities
- Productivity, work discipline, housekeeping
- Ensure that the work carried out complies with international construction codes, project specifications, tender, work instructions, procedure and manuals, as appropriate
- Perform in-process and final inspections on piping and other jobs in shop and onboard
- Participation in work identification
- To ensure defective product had been properly identified, segregated and not being left unattended
- To ensure proper documentation of Project quality related activities, confirmed and approved signed by client and class
- Coordinate and liaise with classification societies, third party inspection agencies, ship superintendents, and other trades, to ensure adherence to related standards
- Stop processes if they do not meet specified requirements, raise occurrence reports/ fields reports recommend for corrective and preventive actions
- Collecting, updating, and filing all relevant inspections records
- Conduct frequent audits and report any non-compliance to the superiors on issues of quality
- Do internal inspections and to lead to carry out final survey and acceptance with class and owner
- To follow the safety rules and regulation set refer to occupational health & safety policy and environmental policy by the yard
- Diploma/Degree in any engineering/Science discipline/Industrial field
- Relevant certification CSWIP 3.1/ASME B31.3
- 3 years of inspection experience in a module, offshore fabrication or related field
- Familiar with standards and codes for all classification societies' requirements
- Should be conversant with applicable inspection, testing techniques and standards
- Good command over English language and effective communication skills
- Good planning and execution skills
