Grab’s Security Automation engineering team is part of the Cyber Security / Security Engineering team at Grab, and leverages diverse technologies and an automation first approach to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy within the Grab Cyber Security program.

**Get to know the Role**:

- You will be responsible for leading a team of dynamic software engineers, navigate ambiguous requirements and roadmap, and deliver security automation projects on time.
- Responsible for the technical direction and roadmap of the Security Automation program.
- Lead the design, engineering, deployment, and maintenance efforts of custom automation products.
- Work with Cyber Security and Tech Family stakeholders to automate various security programs and processes.
- Examples include creating automated security vulnerability and incident triage solutions, developing and conceptualizing security program metrics and dashboards, automate handling of manual and repetitive tasks, etc.

**The Day-to-Day Activities**:

- Lead and manage a team of software engineers to deliver security tooling that automates end-to-end programs/processes owned by Cyber Security teams.
- Wear multiple hats including Solutions Architect, Product Owner and Technical Program Manager.
- Design, engineer, deploy, and maintain custom automation products.
- Lookout for opportunities for automation and persuade teams to automate it.
- Set the engineering strategy and engineering excellence metrics and targets for the team, consistently raise the bar across testability, availability, security and code quality for your systems.
- Attract and retain engineering talent, actively mentor and develop engineering talent in the team.

**The Must-Haves**:

- A degree in computer science or similar with 8+ years of software and backend engineering experience and at least 2+ years of leadership experience with teams of 5+ people.
- Enjoy coding and hands-on. Actively follow latest technologies and bring it to the team.
- Possess strong communication skills and can communicate complex technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences effectively.
- Results and detail-oriented, with strong intuitions on how to solve problems creatively and quickly.
- Self-starter, principled, and driven to do the right thing for an organization. Able to operate very independently with an extreme degree of ambiguity.
- Previous working experience in Cyber Security is a major plus.
