Reinsurance Analyst

Job Qualifications

Required:

- Bachelors Degree in Mathematics/Statistics or Actuarial Sciences and experience required in the Reinsurance area

Preferred:

- Quantitative aptitude
- Ability to perform mathematical tasks
- Microsoft Office skills

Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities
- Conduct assigned monthly Reinsurance reporting and analytics (inc. quarterly, semiannually, and annually), i.e. perform data preparation, report (Reinsurer, Accounting, Management, Group), Local regulatory (OJK) and Group related submissions, in accordance with treaty arrangements, complete, accurate, and timely manner with all controls are executed and documented properly.
- Ensure the monthly reinsurance premiums and claims to be accrued in general ledger, incl. execute the cash settlement in timely manner.
- Conduct initial, negotiation, and discussion for reinsurance rate request to Reinsurer.
- Prepare reinsurance specification, interim agreement, and treaty.
- Conduct any discussion, request and adhoc/exclusion to reinsurer.
- Involve in new product/revamp on existing product discussion and their implication to reinsurance system & model, incl. perform in reinsurance UAT.
- Perform the improvement on reinsurance system and solve major outstanding issues.
- Support controls, process, and documentation to align with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and data storage according to Data Governance best practice.
- Provide support to the process improvement to enhance insights and efficiency, and reduce complexity, or automation.
- Provide support on ad hoc enquiry and audit.
- Provide advice based on deeper understanding of the business and implications.
- Lead and ensure smooth transition for Group Re Arrangement
