Human resources OFFICER (M/F/D)

Full-time | 40 hours per week | Indonesia, East Kalimantan

You as a Human Resources Officer will collaborate with other departments to develop employee policies that cultivate a positive work environment and train staff on how to incorporate these policies into their daily tasks. Other administrative job duties include monitoring onboarding procedures for new employees, managing time-off requests, handling employee conflicts, and ensuring the company complies with government regulations.

Your contribution will be:

- Working closely with various departments, increasingly in a consultancy role assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
- Implement and monitor HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations.
- Involvement from creating the job profile to drafting the contract - from personnel requirements to onboarding.
- Developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management.
- Managing employees’ administration through entire life cycle and ensuring files and database are kept up to date and contain all required documents including drafting and establishing all types of formal documents
- Oversee employee records, pay plans, and benefits programs. Ensure compliance with policies and industry standards while managing the administration of health insurance, social security, and other benefits.
- Develop and manage the HR budget, including salaries, training, and recruitment. Track expenses, allocate resources effectively, and ensure alignment with organizational financial goals.
- Ensure accurate payroll processing and maintain up-to-date, secure employee files. Handle payroll accounting and address any discrepancies while adhering to data protection regulations.
- Provide decision support for management through contracting and reporting, while also bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands and resolving issues effectively.
- Facilitate employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
- Stay updated on HR best practices and industry trends, recommending improvements or changes to HR policies and procedures as necessary.

Your profile ideally illustrates:

- Preferably Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or Law. Master Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration is an advantage.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in human resource management in a generalist capacity.
- Have excellent understanding about Indonesia Employment Law & Policy including, but not limited to, job creation law, income tax regulation, social security policy, and others.
- Strong influencing and conflict resolution skills with the ability to approach employees and managers with difficult messages, resolve issues, and provide clear rationale to justify recommendations or solutions.
- A team player, but also a self-starter, can-do attitude, and not only able to work independently but also collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Good knowledge of spoken and written Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Willing to be placed in Samboja, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan, preferably he or she who domiciles in Balikpapan or Samarinda.
