Pool Lifeguard

Follows the instructions from the Risk Management Advisor/Safety Manager for daily operations.

Always comply with the Pool Safe Operating Procedures.

Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility, and to act immediately and appropriately to ensure the safety of patrons in the event of an emergency

Provides emergency treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.

Ensures there are no students before or after lessons in the water or around the pool area.

Performs daily inspection of pool safety equipment including rescue and medical equipment, and immediately report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment.

Proactive in identifying any safety issues.

Attends lifeguard training as required by the Risk Management Office to ensure ongoing personal development and competencies in providing first aid and emergency care, administering oxygen in an emergency situation, performing basic and advanced water rescues, and monitoring patrons in aquatic locations.

Maintains swim fitness by completing the minimum daily or weekly swim distance and strokes as required by the Risk Management Office.

Performs any tasks involved with the safe and clean operation of the aquatic facilities as required by the Risk Management Advisor/Safety Manager.

Performs other related duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Risk Management Advisor/Safety Manager, including, and not limited to other projects when deemed necessary.
Minimum a diploma’s degree from an accredited institution

Previous experience in lifeguarding and rescue techniques

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English and Indonesian

Pool Lifeguard certification (American Red Cross, Royal Life Saving Society, or Indonesian equivalent) and First Aid, CPR & AED qualifications (American Red Cross, or equivalent)

Ability to react calmly and professionally in case of emergency situation

Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork documentation.

Ability to pass a pre-employment practical skills test in the water

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team to achieve common objectives teams and liaise with other departments
